How Selection Works

Applications Open: 02 Dec 2025- 10 Jan 2025
Curation Panel: 3-member jury (two poets + Artistic Director)
Selection Criteria: craft, clarity, originality, stage command, and fit with the season’s theme
Notification (Selected Poets): 22 Jan 2026
Confirmation Window: 72 hours to submit the confirmation fee via link
Slot Guarantee: Your slot is secured only after the confirmation payment is received

Performer Support & Rehearsals

Rehearsal day (mandatory): 06 Feb 2026 — full tech check and stage walkthrough.
Mentor coaching: one 30-minute group mentor session provided to every selected poet.
Backstage host: each cohort receives an assigned backstage host to manage call times, flow, and quick needs on the day.

Content Release Plan

90-second highlight film (edited): delivered to the artist within 4 weeks post-event.
High-resolution portrait & quote card: delivered within 2 weeks post-event.
Social content pack: 1 × 30s clip and 2 × 15s clips prepared for artist sharing.
Extended rights: producers may offer an optional extended film-rights purchase; this requires separate consent and separate commercial terms.
Publication: standard edited films will be published on JiveSpring channels; artists may request alternate/private-use versions.

Submission & Technical Notes

Video requirement: applicants must upload a single video (up to 135 seconds) per the application instructions (intro → explanation of intent → short recitation).
Formats accepted: MP4 / MOV; max file size as specified on the form.
Portfolio links: optional, but helpful for context.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Q1. Do I pay to apply?

No. Application is free. Payment is required only if selected to confirm your performance slot.

Q3. What if I can’t pay after selection?

If payment is not received within 72 hours, we may offer the slot to the next shortlisted artist.

Q5. Can I read from my phone on stage?

No. Phones are not permitted on stage. Please bring a printed copy if you need notes.

Q2. What is the confirmation fee?

Selected artists pay a one-time confirmation fee of ₹1,499 to secure their slot. (This appears on the confirmation page after selection.)

Q4. Do performers receive honorariums?

Not for standard selected performers. Honorariums are reserved for invited guest artists

Q6. Are performances recorded and shared?

Yes, performances are filmed. Edited highlights are published on JiveSpring channels. Artists may request private-use copies; extended commercial use requires separate agreement.
